Irving Harper’s Sculptures

$575.00

Irving Harper spent long days designing all sorts of things (graphic design, furniture, clocks, etc.) for Herman Miller during his workdays and in his spare time, he would relax by making these intricate sculptures of paper and other everyday household objects (yes, that star form is made of plastic straws). They sat everywhere in his home including this area in his work studio, just across from the desk where he actually made them. When I told him I felt stress just looking at how intricate these sculptures were, he laughed and said, “Oh no… it’s so relaxing.”
